In January of each year many people announce their New Year’s resolutions. Craft store racks are ravaged due to the number of Vision Boards that are created. People make many promises to themselves and almost all of them are in some way aligned with their dreams.
Somewhere along the way for many, however, life happens. Some dreams are forced to take a backseat due to near and present realities: bills, work, social life, school, etc. and the quest for margin becomes all too important.
As the early winter months turn to Spring, it begs the question of how much closer are we to achieving our goals?
We believed it would be a great idea to bring together a group of people to have a different kind of networking event. At “The Sunday Social,” we would glean from each other ideas and ways to connect in order to strengthen our professional and personal positions in the America of today.
The Sunday Social will bring together professionals in the DC, MD, and VA area to foster, build, and grow connections towards the future.
George Bernard Shaw once said, “Life isn’t about finding yourself; it’s about creating yourself.”
As we reflect on things we can’t change, we shift towards the things that we can: ourselves.
